Starting weeks

I have really enjoyed the first month or so of this course and have learnt a lot of new things. The drawing tasks we have been set have been really interesting and it is interesting to see how people understand the tasks so differently, from a few simple rules so many different drawings were created. I like the way you can go anywhere with drawing. I wasn't too keen on the idea that we have to stick to black and white media though as I usually work with lots of colour. The first workshop I did was hand processes. I didn't do much hand embroidery in college so this gave me the opportunity to learn new things. I was inspired by the way nearly anything can be a form of embroidery and you look at things differently now constantly thinking of how an object can look like a stitch. Also I like the way you can stitch with alot of different media and it doesn't always have to be thread. I have now started knit as my second workshop and I am really enjoying it.
