Everything can influence...

As I have been so inspired by colour throughout my summer project I have started to notice it everywhere I go. I made a record of colour I seen in every day situations as I found them interesting and could be a starting point to something exciting.

I also came across an exhibition on boats that were docked in Liverpool, I took this opportunity to photograph them and keep a record of the cultural activity I engaged in.

 

Colour in the city

Whilst walking around Liverpool I was drawn to the aspect of colour used around the city, as I am interested in colour I found this exciting and interesting.

After looking at these photographs I played around with photoshop to create some better effects I also did some colour wraps from them to try and pick out the colours used..

I started to play around with photo editor on my phone to see if I could create any interesting effects from my photographs of Ibiza.
I thought these ones worked pretty well.

 

 

Ibiza Culture

Following on from my interests in colour and patterns I thought it would be a good idea to look into the culture of IBIZA, which is where I spent a week of my summer holiday. What best place to be to get inspiration from!!

From the crazy nights out to the beautiful sunset it is all part of the culture of the island.  The textures in these images really inspire me. I like the natural quality in these photographs they create something special on their own.

Tye- Dye

After looking through several magazines during the summer break I came across alot of tye dye which I love.

 I decided to experiment with it myself and see what interesting things I could create. I feel these have worked pretty well, I think it's interesting to see the lines, textures and tones created from just a few techniques.  It shows a simple idea can go a far way...

Festival of colour

During the summer break I have been keeping my creative juices flowing by visiting galleries and keeping a record of anything I find exciting and interesting. Anything can inspire you!

I love working with colour and pattern and as it it summer it is everywhere!! I have started looking into festivals of colour which are really interesting, I love how you can express so much with colour.

Originating in India, the event is a chance for revellers to dance and play in the streets while being drenched in multi-coloured powder- Berlin’s Holi Festival.

Final Digital Output

Here is my visualisation. It is a series of images which will be created into a moving image. Each projection will be displayed on the wall rotating one to the next. I feel this will look good as I wanted my final output to be something moving and not a still image.

I thought about what strong image to use, I felt this one really summarized my work and shows the main ideas throughout my project which really fed my working progress.

 My context sheet really shows my journey throughout Unit X. I have included main inspirations, materials I have used and ideas that have progressed through the project.
